I am Michael Persch, an architect, artist and urban sketcher, currently back in my German hometown, after having spent a long time in Australia and Singapore.
In 2015 I came across the ‘Urban Sketchers Singapore’ group and have become a very active member since then.
Sketching proved for me to be a great way to slow down and to reduce the overwhelming visual information into a simplified and memorable sketch.
Most of my recent sketches were done in Singapore and on Bali - with a new focus on Europe after moving back in 2021.
I am convinced that Henri Cartier-Bresson’s quote ‘Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst’ applies to both photography and sketching.
So please join me on my journey towards and beyond the 10,000 threshold!
Besides sketching I am an enthusiastic travel photographer.
